Amp for Alessandro MS-1

What would be a good amp for Alessandro MS-1?
I've read good reviews about Headroom Total BitHead,
is this a suitable amp for this phones?

I will be plugging the headphones to my computer
which has a Soundblaster Live soundcard (which I will
upgrade to Chaintech AV-710) and I listen to variety
of music but mostly rock/hip hop.

any suggestion?

Try the Search, same question was asked earlier this week.

In general, you would benefit more from using the money to upgrading the headphones rather than spend it on an amp.

I got me a Headfive, makes them sound awesome imo!

Any other takers?

Which amp do you personally use for your MS-1?

Grado RA-1 and (soon) a Ray Samuels Audio Tomahawk. RA-1 purchased because phones upgrade will follow at some point along the lines of the MS-1 (read: RS-1?).

Anyway it sounds very nice.

So far I think my 225's sound great unamped. An amp increases the volume but it can also take away from their sound. I had a sr71 and after I got my 225's I sold it. it did not do much for my 225's.I am in the process of building a CJ amp and hope it synergizes good with my 225's.I am hoping the 6922's do the trick. The melos and other amps use this tube and are supposed to be great with grados. I will have to see.

I already had a Xiangsheng 708B tube amp when I decided to pick up a set of MS-1s to round out my collection, and I gotta say that tubes and Grados go hand in hand. I can run them directly out of a PDP or my computer and they sound quite good, but the sound is just so much fuller and rounder running off of the amp.

Note that I'm not recommending the 708B, per se, as much as tubes generally. It's a nice amp, but you can probably do better for not much more money.
