Eh, its just due to the need to take some medicine the next four to six months. It might be healthier in some repects, but right now all i drink is water and a beer or so a day. Now I will likely be drinking more soda which will be less healthy.

Don't bother with soda or other crud beverages. Keep the extra calories for beer, not terrible crud.

Just a very small sample of the wonderful craft beer available from brewers in the South Island, New Zealand. (and a case of Wychwood Green Goblin cider)

I wish we got Hopslam in NJ, it goes to Pennsylvania but they have weird laws and I don't know any good shops there. I'm drinking a fantastic IPA myself though:

Very tropical fruit smelling with light pine through it with a nice balanced sweetness from the pale malts into a pine and grapefruit bitter finish. Excellent.

The Hopslam is great in flavor and smell and feel, as well as the alky content at 10%, but no way is it worth what they charge, which is typically $18 for six.  Nothing in my opinion makes it worth the premium over other IPAs or IIPAs.  For me it was another one of those, because it's right here in front of me, I have to buy it things, so I did.

Your description of the Mongo IPA is right up my alley!  I've never seen that around here before.

You want Mongo, I want Hopslam, if only I were up for trading, too expensive for me to mess with it yet.

And I'm too lazy.

Mongo is pretty damn good. I'd choose it over Hopslam for the cost reason alone.

I'd say cost is around the same.  A 22 oz bomber of Mongo is around $6-7.  Hopslam is good and worth trying, but there are plenty of other good IPA and DIPA's available in California that I'm not going to go out of my way to acquire some again this year.
