IMO, yes. I prefer the sound of the KSC35 over the PK3. However, the PK3's a lot more comfortable to wear.

I saw that one coming. I do suppose these are a huge upgrade from ibuds though? I want to get these for a friend, she travels a lot outside with her nano with ibuds.

Just got my PK3s. Brief listen confirms everyone's opinions of them, they are superb for the money (I paid AUS$39 from local dealer Headphonic).

In case it's not completely clear from the earlier posts (and souperman makes it pretty clear!) these earbuds are SO much better than the standard iPod earbuds, and the cost is so reasonable, upgrading should be just a no-brainer. I am comparing against the new 2nd gen iBuds too - the ones with the rubber sides that don't sound too bad.

I also have KSC-35s and love them, but they are a bit of a pain to take on and off. Also they don't have the shove-them-in-your-pocket-just-in-case factor. Hence I like earbuds. And thanks to the PK3s I don't have to suffer poor sound quality. Couldn't be happier.

I haven't look completely thru this thread but how would these compare to ksc 75's. I was listening to mine last night thru my soha and they still astound me.

I would say the PK3's are the KSC35's to the KSC75's. It has a warmer sound signature. Depends what you are looking for. I personally like the PK3's much better.

I personally like the ksc75s slightly better, but the fact that the pk-3s are earbuds make them so much better for portable use

Not to get off topic but how does your 225's sound with the g lite?

I ordered some PK3 and I will be adding a 150 ohms adapter, do this means it will be converted to PK1?. Hope so.

The drivers are supposedly different

how are pk3 to pk2 ?
I am looking for somebody that have PK1 and PK3, so I send one of my 150 ohms impedance adapters, for free. I just need a sound comparison between the two. Pk3 using a 150 ohm adapter and the PK1 in plain vanilla. Just for curiosity.

No it does not work like that. They are completely different.

Could you elaborate on that?. Do you know for a fact that they are different, internally?. Thanks

First of all...I have both, and the PK3 has much more bass than the PK1. The PK1's also sound MUCH better even if unamped. This is not just because of impedance.

If you look the technical specs, you can easily see they are nowhere the same thing.
