After re-acquiring the 2500, recabling both the 2500 and 750 with the (detachable) RAL cryo-Silver Reference--a super improvement, BTW, the 2500 are back up for trade/sale. : )
In addition, I kept the K701. (Boy, am I ever glad I waited for them to fully break in!) After about 350 hours, wow! they've really started to show their stuff! In fact, I like the K701 w/stock cable better than either Proline w/RAL upgrade. So much so that I am now having Brad Vojtech at RAL recable the K701.
There is simply "way more going on" with the K701: way more detail, bigger soundstage, better tonal color and texture, better dynamics, more realistic spatial queues and sense of pace. With picked strings, for example, you're (sharply/narrowly) confined to the sound at the beginning of the string with the Proline, but you get the detail, reach and body of the entire string with the K701. While they're not as bass-riveting or slammy as either Proline, the K701's bass is deeper, tighter, more accurate and better articulated--maybe even better balanced within the entire frequency spectrum, IMHO. These differences are manifestly evident while listening to the K701 w/stock cable v. the Proline with the RAL cable upgrade, too.
The RAL cable upgrade on the K701 should, I am speculating, easily move them an order of magnitude beyond the Proline in every respect.

. It´s just spot on with that using my LFE as reference
. Also if you have a RAL cable available I am interested in buying it.
