So what are the before and after jitter numbers ?

I need a $20K scope to properly measure jitter at these levels and I cannot afford this yet. If you ship me one, I will be more than happy to measure this. It's not even worth the $300-400 to rent the equipment for a month because it wil not convince the non-believers anyway. They will just take issue with my measurement techniques or my ability to hear these things etc.... If I had problems selling my gear, I might give this a try, but I'm backlogged for 3 months....

Besides, what does it matter what the measurement is? If I can hear a difference and the only difference is jitter, then the conclusion is that I can hear small amounts of jitter using my reference system. Therefore, jitter is real to me and I am able to hear it, and hear the improvement when it is reduced.

Not as good as the 7700 IMO. I've modded both.

I've seen S7700's go for a little less than $100 on the bay. Sony sold a lot of units and these come up for dirt cheap from time to time.

I use this transport in my set up, the separate lasers each optimized for either DVD or CD is a great improvement IMO.
