I want to change the skinny satellite-to-sub cable bundled with my Klipsch GMX 2.1, should I just cut the stock cable and put a beefier cable or should I buy a new branded cable? Any guide to make it?

All I have to say is that their awesome pair of headphones. Great sound stage, vocals are a bit too strong, you can feel the bass other than hearing it, and great for movies. Comfort is 4.5...

I know people bash on Bose because of they're over priced and I agree. I believe these retail for about $150 or so and I paid $85 for these due to employee discount at where I work. With that...

Hey there, and Welcome to Head-Fi.
Here are some questions for you:
What kind of connectors are currently on the end of this cable?
Are there any at all?
Is it wired direct?
What are your skills with wiring and general DIY?

The gmx uses a 2 conductor wire that has a rca on one end that plugs into the speaker. Honestly the money to benefit ratio makes this change not worth it unless you are wanting to have a small project or wanting to change the length. Don't get your hopes up for a performance upgrade.
