Video of Steve Hoffman's lecture available? - Page 3

OK, so I have word on the video, but more patience will be necessary. After some rounds with attorneys and more thought than would be imagined, we have come up with a solution for posting up the Steve Hoffman talk. Steve has been great in this process and is really working with us to figure out a way to make this available even though he has never done this before. I assume we can get this done in the next couple weeks, and hopefully Sovkiller's fine friend can work his magic on this video like he did on the amp maker panel. Stay tuned.

Wow. I guess I could see that coming. Dang it. I'm glad I didn't have to sign a waiver to get in and see it in the first place!!!

Al: Many, many thanks for working on this. Geez, I had no idea it would be so involved. But I think you're doing the right thing, and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help, even at this late stage in the process.

My friend will do it, the original material was sent already. The edition will take some time to be done, as it has to edited almost everything, each song needs to be edited, and some of them completelly removed, but it will be posted sooner or later so keep on track...

Edit everything? How can that be?

I can understand the song edits, but much of what he was discussing should require no edits. Were the cool stories about the Sony vault just too much for the Sony lawyers? Oy.

It is only the songs, and that some songs need to be removed, the discussion will remain intact...but those are all along the material, so the whole matrial need to be edited...

Alberto,

Please convey to Esteban our appreciation for his work on not only this video but also the Amp Builder Discussion video. For someone who is not a member of the community or may not even have an interest in headphones/audio, he sure is putting in alot of effort. He must owe you big time !!

Nah, we grew up together...

BTW the video is on the works, the edition will begin in a few days, the presentation and music is already finished, along with some images that will be inserted in the part that will be edited, mainly were Steve play the music, to make them less monotone instead of watching the bare wall for a whole minute...
He may need to equlize the sound as there are some noises that he will attempt to remove, not sure of the result though, we may need Steve's expertise here... This one I'm assuming that will be even better than the other one...

BTW we are looking for picture of Steve, that we could use for the artwork, one that do not have any privacy rights, and that could be used with no legal implications, as the video is too small for that purpose...any volunteer has one around???

Sorry - there will be a further delay

My apologies, everyone, but due to some previously not understood issues, I have had to use my moderator powers to remove the link to Sovkiller's video page.

This is only temporary until we get one final thing ironed out. Again, my apologies.

Sorry for the one last hiccup folks, but the change needed is super minor, affects some wording on the host site only, and will not change the video posted earlier. This will be resolved by tomorrow morning and the link will be reposted and all will be well. The video is great fun, and Sovkiller's very patient friend who is editing and hosting the video has done a fabulous job of packaging it for us. So check it out in a few hours. Cheers.

OK guys, are you ready ???

We are proud to present the conference that Steve Hoffman offered during the Headfest 2007, it took some time and it required some edition and some authorization from Steve and from the authors of the video, photographers, etc...finally for all Head-fi community here it is...

It was compressed for better downloading and viewing, and divided into chapters, a few copies will be available in PAL and NTSC, in DVD quality, but please be aware that the amount will be really limited, so I suggest to distribute them among us, making copies from the original ones and passing them to the ones interested...The original recepients will be mainly the organizers and related personel...(if each recipient make 5-10 copies we will have a bunch circulating soon in head-fi)

WARNING: Copies are not intended for profits of any kind, they are copyrighted, and also it is against our principles and the good standards of headfi, so please be considerate and respect others job and time spent doing it...

The last edition was made this morning, it is now on the page and on the DVD's, and artwork, all was modified to satisfied that last and final request, hope no more changes will arise. The final DVD will be like it is now, OK?

Donations are welcome, to help us with our spendigns, but not mandatory...

It always fascinates me how loudly people anticipate something and how vocally disappointed they are when it doesn't arrive, but then when the object of their desire is provided there is nothing but crickets to be heard! Anyway, just so it is clear as crystal, here is the link for the beautifully produced video of the Steve Hoffman talk at HeadFest 2007 that Sovkiller generously arranged through his contact at eqfuentes.com over in Spain:

STREAMING VIDEO OF STEVE HOFFMAN'S TALK AT HEADFEST 2007

Please show your gratitude to Sovkiller and Esteban at eqfuentes.com when you have a moment. I'm sure you are grateful, it's just nice to show it too!
