Just wanted to stick my nose in here and say thanks for the hard work you guys are putting in. Even though I was there in the front row I'm eagerly awaiting this video. Thanks again, this National Meet crew was awesome!

It's safe to say it (the police won't come and take you away or anything like that), but of course that has nothing to do with being patient on something a member is doing that takes umpteen hours of personal time.

Nice a thread about a video that can't be watched I'll bump that

Well, I've seen the video and it's pretty darn good. You can hear the leaf-blower loud and clear!

So, we have taken the tapes and burned DVDs of them -- thanks again to utep10 -- and now we are waiting for Steve to green-light the material for internet distribution. There are some things that work for a live talk that will not work for a freely accessible internet posting. Plus, you should know that Steve has never made such a talk available by video so we are getting a first crack at posting up his talk for the masses.

Please be patient and a very cool, unique video will be up in no time.

LOL

Did it catch the scratching noises he made picking up leaves when he finally stopped using the blower?

The RIAA is probably trying to get money for the music he played there. They will want money for every viewing of the video. Bloodsucking vampires!

I hear Simon Cowell has the rights to all music played everywhere on the planet.

Could be very likely. I wonder how they would classify the sound of it since it will likely not be in stereo or possess fantastic audio qualities?
64KB/s MP3 quality?

...I wouldn't put it past them.

Does anyone know the status of this video becoming available? Or has the whole RIAA thing squashed this project?

judging from how long this is taking, i think they are going to be doing something special with the video. i'll just be patient, i think it will be worth the wait!

Maybe my comments swayed the discussion? While I generally have a distrust of groups like the RIAA, the news right now is that Steve himself is reviewing the footage. I seriously doubt that the audio experience on internet video will be near the amazing presentation as it was during HeadFest. The sound was spooky good. Nat King Cole was in the room...and I was in the back row...wow...

No worries. I look forward to seeing it again!

RIAA talk aside, I am really looking forward to this. I am sure it will be awesome.

I am really looking forward to this video.
Hope it will be released sooner, rather than later...
