SOLD

I have for sale a Lite DAC-AH with the passive output mod, which bypasses the opamp output stage, replacing it with just a pair of capacitors instead. I also changed the value of the I/V resistors, as the stock values are ideal for an 8V supply whereas Lite changed to 6V. These are both well documented mods, and both improved the sound quite a bit.

I used 3 uF Sprague Vitamin Q oil filled capacitors for the output bypass. This mod dramatically improved the tonal balance, bringing out the weak bass of the stock unit and taming its sometimes harsh highs. Detail also improved a lot. The unit now sounds warm and smooth with decent detail, much better than stock.

The resistor mod fixes the problem the DAC-AH has with clipping on loud passages due to incorrect regulator voltage in the power supply. Didn't really change the sound much other than that, though it did seem to improve the sound stage slightly.

I purchased the unit brand new about a year ago, and both mods were installed shortly thereafter, so no reliability problems. I'd say the unit is about 8/10 cosmetically. It looks like it did when I bought it, but I lost one of the 8 top panel screws, so I'm giving it an 8/10.

I would like to get $115 Shipped for the unit in the continental US. I will ship elsewhere but the buyer has to make up the difference. I prefer PayPal for payment. If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me, and you can find my feedback link in my signature.
