I noticed that there are two different versions of the e-mu 1212M out there. The newer one (V2) apparently doesn't have firewire but will work with the 1616M Audio Dock. This according to emu customer service. I don't care about either of these features; just the sound quality. I gather the circuits are otherwise the same, but emu doesn't say. What card are you using and if you know of any sonic differences, please elaborate. Thanks.
