hey ive just recently put together a new headphone setup. my plan is to go optical/coax out of my cpu mobo into my zhaolu 2.0, then rca into my gilmore lite headphone amp, and into k701 or dt770 pros. my question is, i also own a transit, which i understand is a basic basic dac, is there any advantage in me using the transits optical out rather than my motherboards direct optical out (essentially using both the transit AND my zhaolu i think)? or would this be completely unecessary..im only a little skeptical because i know of the negatives associated w usb connections 
as well, if anyone has any recommendations, would it be better for me to run coax or optical out into my zhaolu (over a short distance, a foot maybe) and does the "quality" of the cable really matter too much? thanks, hope someone can help me out!

. I personally use optical (the UA-1EX only has optical out), and found a small but noticeable difference between a standard plastic optical cable and a higher-quality glass toslink.
