anyone else stoked about Shure's new 420?

I don't know man I spent some time with them and to be honest I liked them. the medium black foam fit perfect but more importantly the new foam is so weird I Could not Break seal with it..like custom fit seal type I get off my Sensa's..

the speed of the 420's and the balance of the 420's really pronounced them to be on pair with amazing. The balance comparing to my sensa's was close, well not as bass true or sound stage-y but there is quality in these. the bass was very deep and center and fast..I liked it.

$350.00 for this sound to me is not bad, in fact coming from a custom IEM owner I am I would say if $300-400 was my limit I would buy these..

when are they coming out?
i think i may need these for my Jacuzzi...
wish I would of tried the U.E. and Westone stuff when i had the chance..damm!!!

Whatup Billy.

Thanks for the kind words.

Ship date on SE420 is currently June, I'll post back when we have confirmation.

Too bad you didn't try the UE and Westone stuff, it's all good.

Glad you like the soft black foams. It only took a year to perfect them.

That's great news. Any reason for naming them 420? Curious for no apparent reason lol.

Sugarfried, that's a classy thing to say.

I tried these foams at the HF2 meet and was really impressed with them. They made for a fantastic seal and were ultra-comfortable. Kudos!

4 because that's where it lies in the SE product line (between the 310 and 530).

2 because that's how many drivers it has (the 210 and 310 have 1, the 530 has three).

0 because three digit product numbers are cool.

You nailed it. Did you figure that out or did someone explain it to you?

Just curious, ya know?

Well, Doug has some serious dirt on me after Saturday in San Jose... Just kidding. I'm excited that customers have so many high end in-ears to choose from these days. The picture Jude took of Doug, Mike D and I is hilarious. That was just after I had my listen of the 3.

what were your thoughts on the competition's IEMs? It would be interesting to know what a Shure Rep thought about the new Westones and the other high end IEMs.

What a minute. I just bought the 310's because I thought they were the new e4. Is this wrong? No wonder I didn't notice that much difference between my e3 and the 310.

Please help.

Thanks

p.s. The new black foamies are the best ever!!!!!!

the 310s are the new e4 since they both have 1 driver. The 420 is the new e5, they both have 2 drivers.

that said, the SE series is not replacing the E series

With the exception of the e500/se530, which are identical.
