That and the fact that my sister-in-law/would-be-designer went hog wild 4 years ago and ruined the aesthetics of our lobby, restaurant and bar. I'm converting the bar into a smaller restaraunt/bar and converting the restaurant into and bar & grill that will host live jazz and other events. The lobby, hallways, ballroom, elevators, exterior, restaurant and bar will look very different in a few weeks. Rooms will come next and will require another capital investment.
Right now, I'm converting one of our other hotels to a Hyatt Place, another to a La Quinta and working with architects on building our new house, so I'm defintely preoccupied with the conversion/renovation process.
Head-fiers should come check out the changes once renovations are complete. The bar & grill is going to be my personal hangout, so you know special attention will be given to the sound system. Aesthetics will reflect my NY bred sensibilities.
It's good to live in the Bay Area.
