I think it would be helpful to keep gear for sale in the same little thread as the headphone gear, but pull a phildox and highlight the stuff for sale in red so it's quite accessible. (Sorry to dump more work on you Ryan!)

@Rob: let's not scare Ryan's guests with the concept of back-waxing.

It's going to be an awesome meet. Make sure that if you haven't paypal'ed GlendaleViper the 10$, please do so at the door when you enter and collect your nametag or at Ryan's earliest discretion, because he puts up his own money up front, and it's not fair for him to be in the red, and having to collect the fees progressively over the length of the meet so he can't enjoy himself. I don't imagine that this will be a big issue as all head-fiers are quite curteous in my experience in this sort of thing, but I just want to leave it out there just in case.

I'll have portaphile V2^2 maxxed for trade for a desktop amp, or for sale if someone there is selling a home amp.

If anyone needs some panasonic caps, I have a bunch of different ones.

Let me know via pm in advance if interested please.

Also... I just grabbed both pairs of "accura" headphones that people have been talking about as super bargains. So far... I'm impressed! I'll bring both!

Everyone, we are extremely close to the headcap for the venue. Just a reminder to everyone that members who paid in advance have priority entrance to the event.

If there is anyone who is on the RSVP list that CANNOT MAKE IT and has not told me yet, please let me know immediately.

All my stuff is in the for sale section.

Here's a fast list of my stuff for sale:

Grado SR-80. 70$
Grado SR-225. 160$
Mapletree Ear+. 350$
Thorens TD166. 200$
Ariston RD11 "Model E". 350$
PS1 with PS2 remote. 50$
Denon 1910 DVD Player. 70$

Tomorrow, I'll add:

Messina 7.1 speakers system (5xGP700+2xDV500) for 380$ (stand included)

I think that's all. I have many things for sale and this is an opportunity for me to clear everything. It is also an opportunity for you to try and save shipping.

Thanks

Laurent

I have a question,

Since it is 8am to 8pm, What if you need to leave for a bit?

I will try to be in around 10 for an hour or so, but then have to leave till about 5pm.

How will that be arranged?
Well we're getting nametags on entry so I'm sure you'll be able to just show that on your way back in.

Yea, you can leave and come back any time you want, since we'll all have name badges. Just a reminder though, the meet starts at 9:00, not 8.

9am-8pm

Okay, I went to the Library this afternoon and gathered a few details:

1) I have no idea where this other parking lot is... perhaps I'm blind, perhaps it's because I got stuck on the phone while looking for it, but I can confirm the one I listed on the OP is right across the street from the location and it will be the one I am using.

2) 45 people is an ABSOLUTE hard cap on attendance. There is no way the room(s) could handle any more people than that, when tables and gear are taken into account.

The upshot is that it should be relatively comfortable with the attendance we do have. The two room thing should work out beautifully, so while the listening room will be fairly packed with gear, we can reserve the other side for snacks, socializing and portable gear.

Just added SACD - EAT A PEACH by Allman Bros. (forgot I had it!)

The “other” parking lot is the Hudson's Bay Company Carpark.

It's an underground parking facility on the south side of the street in the Hudson's Bay Centre on 7 Asquith Ave. Ryan you probably missed it because it looks like any other underground car entrance into a building.

Here's a satellite map of the location and how it's literally south of the Toronto Reference Library. The library loading dock is roughly in the middle of the building on Asquith.

Here's a link with more details and other parking in the area:

Best,
Kev
