Anybody ask the Senn rep about the HD700? I did!

After I warmed up a chat with him, I half-jokingly asked "So, about that 700..."

Then he firmly denied it and pulled out a business card, flipped it over to the back side, and marked up another tally mark.

(When I last checked, it was like 25 people who asked)

Yea I did too. He said that there would be no HD700... I refuse to believe!

That's because you asked the wrong question I talked to him and asked "so is anything coming out to put the HD650 in the #2?" and with a smiling smirk he said "maybe". That was enough for me... read between the lines

Nice one! He actually told me that "the HD650 would be #1 for a long time" and this was when the tally mark was no greater than 10 I believe...

Haha... I asked them that around 11:00am on Saturday... no tally card that I saw.. but I got the same answer as the rest of 'ya.

haha yeah he did the same thing w/ me, he was having a good time w/ it. I liked that guy, he was pretty cool.

You see guys, the thing is, you don't want to talk with sennheiser about this...

you really want to speak with Tyll at 2:30 in the morning after that nice 20 year old bourbon...



he had some interesting info about what's to come...

on friday I asked him

"so how many people asked about the 700's?" he started laughing and said i counted as one so he marked the card...so then i said "well what about the 700's?"

i think the answer i got was something to the effect that something was going to come....in time..and it was something.

that's not an answer, that's circular reasoning - it will come when it comes.

Sennheiser will come out with a new high-end headphone. It's not going to be the HD-700, and (here's the expanded part) I can't wait. Not only because i can't wait to hear it, but because if they allow you guys to speculate too long we're going to run out of numbers. I'd hate to have to talk about the HD-47000344.
