I've decided to buy a Headphonia amp. A short review will come + a small review of the SR225's. Thanks for helping me!

The Pro USB model, right? It's kinda caught my eye, too.

How long does Headphonia take to ship once you pay, any idea?

Have you considered the porta corda III USB?

Its cheaper than the headphonia at $225 and it got a high rating by Skylab in his mega-review

The Porta Corda is ugly :] and yes I am getting the PRO USB one. Robert said the amps are starting to ship next week and it would be hard to estimate but up to 10 days.

Sorry, i guess i just listen to my amps rather than look at them

The porta corda is the original anyway

The "Originial Porta Corda"

The Headphonia amp.

There IS a difference. They look VERY different.

Half the reason I'm looking at a good <$250 portable amp with a USB DAC is so I can show it off to my family and friends when I go home on the 11th, but not set back my future purchase of a balanced amp. But the Headphonia looks like it'll take forever to get assembled, and the Porta Corda has to ship from across the pond.

Freakin' crap.

I don't think it'll take that long. Robert said his estimates were crappy :P

The 1st version was the one with the issues, not this newer version. You need to read that one long thread.

I Wish I got in my 2 cents earlier

Chicken- I'm glad that you finally made a decision, but IMHO it has upgrade written all over it. First, I think you made great decisions. So good, you will want better. I see you going up on the headphones, ms-2i? rs-2 or1? Same thing with the amp. I have a PC mkII, a good portable amp. I want a tabletop now. I want the clean, juicy, punch of a larger hp amp. I have ms-1 headphones, I want ms-2i. I'm only saying this b/c head-fi has me in upgrade mode. Curse you, head-fi. Repeat after me ... I only need my Nano & KSC-75
Really, if I started now: ms-2i & PPA (or DAC Pimeta) those are two pieces I could live with for $500-600 combined.

I know I'll eventually want the Gilmore Lite :O. Apnk I read the thread. And it doesn't matter anymore because he is withdrawing all the old ones! Yes I know I'll probably want to upgrade in the future .

For now I'm going to have:

Headphonia USB PRO -> ALO Cyro Dock -> Grado-SR225.

I want

Gilmore Lite and Westone 3
