And in honor of the event and the man himself.... (IE, prevent him from posting rampantly prior to the event...)

He just posts too dang much! I had to remind him of the need to stay in line. I'm still trying to figure out if it will be a 6 month or 1 year ban.

Nah, just kidding. It's only for 24 hours, and I might even lift it before then if he begs enough.

In case anyone is new here, it's just a joke and we're all friends. I did the same thing when he had 9,999 posts and will do it again when he has 29,999 (in a couple of months, no doubt). We don't otherwise EVER play around with fake bans, but this is a special celebration given that it fell on the eve of the national meet.

The roaming noob that is me must ask the obvious question:

What the heck happened? Funny joke.

Unfortunately, it is against Head-Fi rules to discuss bans.

OT, let me be the first to recommend Hotlanta Joja for next years international meet.

We'd need to make it about 5 years for the rest of us to catch up!

Hotlanta or Austin, the live music capital of the world, would be two excellent possibilities IMO.

So what's the small Indian workforce going to be doing with their day off today Jahn?

I think someone has to lift it. He is paying for the company typing for him for nothing.

Paaaarrrttttaaayyyy!!!

I think next year Headfest should be on the northeast coast somewhere. Then I'd probably be able to attend.

I second the Chicago idea, great city, centrally located.

You should have seen the pitiful sight of Jahn getting down on his knees and begging jude, john_jcb, immtbiker, and tyrion to talk me out of the ban. The thing is, I did it for his own good because he can't help himself. He still has more to say! What a total Head-Fi junkie!

So with some coaxing from the other mods, I've unbannded him a couple of hours ahead of schedule. Let's hope #20,000 is worthwhile. In the meantime he's up on the 5th floor playing some silly dueling guitars game with 1911. I need to grab a beer or 12 on my way up there, because I'm assuming this won't exactly be a John Mayer concert I'm walking into.

it definitely was worthwhile! Jahn is a nice man to dedicate his 20,000 post to something much more important then headphones
