As I mentioned once or twice to you that day/evening in your consecutively more lurid and less lucid calls, you weren't at Head-Fest yet. I was setting up YOUR K1000 room while you and the Ty and A-O (think jp11801-->Johnny Numbers-->JP#s-->JP) were running around MY HOOD without me.

Just a note of interest to nobody: This is my first post Head-Fest post. Why? Because I love Team Florida! Matt and Vicki and the rest were much missed, and cannot make the same mistake next year.

I just want to make sure that everyone understands that no animals were harmeed during the making of our little adventure. I am so hurting right now, as I sit at my desk at work and try not to do too much the fact that my left driver of my K1000 has fallen victim to the K1000 room doesn't even upset me too much at the moment.

I didn't see any video cameras, but I do have some stills of Tyll demonstrating his ballet dancer heritage.

You shoulda been there Jay. It was hilarious. The 4am "wake-up call" that Gene's foot delivered over and over again to JP's door would have made you proud. Clearly the best moment of the night was when Mike then opened the door: one one bed was the fetal-positioned and inadequately-covered JP sound asleep (with earplugs--he's no dummy) and on the floor behind the next bed was JP's buddy passed out . As soon as we were in the room, the buddy popped up like a jack-o-lantern (after a 4-hour nap) and immediately fled. I guess he's no dummy either.

I was at headfest the moment my boys stepped off the plane on 4/20.

ok you asked for it you got it

Friday started out very mellow with a nice quiet drive to Berkeley to pick up an amp from Humanflyz. Then back to the hotel for a day of high culture in SF.
First stop was tea tasting at Red Blossom tea, me and da boys sipping teas out of the smallest freaking cups you have ever seen. While most may not be into a great cup of tea I love it and the boys tolerated it.

Then its off to Toronado possibly the best beer bar in the USA

once again we were educating our pallets with Pliny the Elder IPA from Russian River Brewery (if there is a better IPA out there I have not tried it).
We proceeded to drink our way through the beer menu sampling a belgian and a few other greats.

here is a pick of Gene and I showing Mike some love
Then it was off to Haight and Ashbury for a pint or three at Magnolia. Before we could get to the bar I needed a quick record store fix and Mike and Gene needed a cup of coffee. After a few cups of coffee and a few inappropriate posts in the 2007 headfest forum I was off to pick up a few records and the boys were off to warm up some barstools at Magnolia. When I got to the bar my record selections were deemed not worthy by my estemeed partners in crime. I also noticed Gene and angered our bartender something fierce. After making peace with our bartender we downed a final beer and we were off the beach for a beer at Beach Chalet brew pub. This was where we hit a speedbump in our festivities. After cabbing it out to Ocean Beach and grabbing a few seats at the Beach Chalet they seemed uninterested in serving we Floridians more beer. Our BAC was well below 2.0 and we yet to spill our first beer but off we went to get back to civilization. This is when the day came to a grinding halt, we were stuck at Ocean Beach as it is not a hub or taxi activity.
We were toast or so it seemed until Gene stuck his thumb out and a white pickup (that looked like a psycho killer might own) pulled over and Gene hopping up front and Mike and I jumping in back.

more to come later maybe Mike of Gene will finish the story of the evening.

It was at this point we were dropped off at a bus stop, got on a bus and were dropped off again to look for food, we found none and took a cab somewhere. I just can't remember where the cab took us.

Al, he's not kidding, he has crazy eyes. Remember, we made a pact. However, there was no such deal regarding his friend. Post his buddy in the fetal position on the floor of our room.

Hahahahahahah, HA HA, HAHAAHAHAHAH. Ok I'm rolling. Al you must PM me the picture in question. I think you'd get approval from John or whoever it compromises. I mean they even offered to buy me a ticket out, so by rejecting that I saved them a lot of money. In exchange I think I need access to the most private details which I will of course not share openly. Oh and Vicki needs it too.

Vicki can't see that pic. It would be so wrong. I will use my moderator powers to protect the innocent (except jp's friend, who parties like a little girl).

The blues, now I remember. Didn't the band have a particularly good sax player?

Nothing to be ashamed of. The hairy beached whale look is making a comeback, I hear.

As well you should. It was amazing. It's worth the plane fare out there just to try it.

I won't need to go to Cali for it though. A friend has a handbottle of the Younger and the Elder. I just need to convince him to open them one of these days .
