Just a note of interest to nobody: This is my first post Head-Fest post. Why? Because I love Team Florida! Matt and Vicki and the rest were much missed, and cannot make the same mistake next year.

I was at headfest the moment my boys stepped off the plane on 4/20.
ok you asked for it you got it
Friday started out very mellow with a nice quiet drive to Berkeley to pick up an amp from Humanflyz. Then back to the hotel for a day of high culture in SF.
First stop was tea tasting at Red Blossom tea, me and da boys sipping teas out of the smallest freaking cups you have ever seen. While most may not be into a great cup of tea I love it and the boys tolerated it.
Then its off to Toronado possibly the best beer bar in the USA

once again we were educating our pallets with Pliny the Elder IPA from Russian River Brewery (if there is a better IPA out there I have not tried it).
We proceeded to drink our way through the beer menu sampling a belgian and a few other greats.

here is a pick of Gene and I showing Mike some love

Then it was off to Haight and Ashbury for a pint or three at Magnolia. Before we could get to the bar I needed a quick record store fix and Mike and Gene needed a cup of coffee. After a few cups of coffee and a few inappropriate posts in the 2007 headfest forum I was off to pick up a few records and the boys were off to warm up some barstools at Magnolia. When I got to the bar my record selections were deemed not worthy by my estemeed partners in crime. I also noticed Gene and angered our bartender something fierce. After making peace with our bartender we downed a final beer and we were off the beach for a beer at Beach Chalet brew pub. This was where we hit a speedbump in our festivities. After cabbing it out to Ocean Beach and grabbing a few seats at the Beach Chalet they seemed uninterested in serving we Floridians more beer. Our BAC was well below 2.0 and we yet to spill our first beer but off we went to get back to civilization. This is when the day came to a grinding halt, we were stuck at Ocean Beach as it is not a hub or taxi activity.

We were toast or so it seemed until Gene stuck his thumb out and a white pickup (that looked like a psycho killer might own) pulled over and Gene hopping up front and Mike and I jumping in back.

more to come later maybe Mike of Gene will finish the story of the evening.
