The Misfits of the National Meet: Team Florida Transplanted - Page 2

you guys going to destroy yourselves tonight too? because i'll be at the hotel with nada to do before flyin out on monday morn! 1911 is taking me to san fran for some honest Dungeness action right now so i should be back for the meet by 1pm - i'll drop the Darth Grados off with someone so they can see some action while i'm gone. get a few good meet hours going, then it's farewell 1911, hello head-fi!

btw the guitar hero II contingent stayed up till about 1:30 on the 5th floor, good stuff. kudos to Santa for straddling the two afterparties like a trooper! (yeah, ours was more PG, whaddya gonna do.)

But the image would only be final if they make up a Team Florida drinking song!

I promise you that this would be a very bad idea indeed.

Kumbaya comes to mind. Perhaps we should write some new lyrics for that.

Someone contact Tyll, he's awesome at writing hilarious ditties.

You could be on to something. You certainly demonstrated that Kumbaya need not be sung in a traditional manner, and I remember Tyll's rather remarkable Ray Samuels/Sponge Bob ditty sung in the van.

I say contact Tyll. We also need those goodies I've been seeing pics of here at the Tampa meet.

These guys are just nuts! Worse yet, they attract other nuts like Tyll and, well... Tyll. Not sure exactly what happened this weekend, but I managed to have a great time even without drinking gallons of beer.

I was rather proud of them because at least I can say they're happy drunks and thus didn't destroy Richard's hotel (although he did tell me... true story... that they intentionally decided to delay a major renovation/redecorating project here at the Radisson until HeadFest was over for fear that the 3 Stooges from Florida would cause irreparable damage).

That was crazy last night!! Agile_one and Tyll, were just...

Too bad I couldn't drink that much last night otherwise I would have keeped up with you guys!

Well, I'll have to wait until the Tampa meet in June for that to happen!

jp11801 and I landed at 8am and I'm in the office at the moment. This will have to do for the moment. It's me taking a pic of jp in the back of the pickup truck that picked us up when we were hitchhiking back from the Ocean.

Oh it's everything I imagined . I hope John caught a picture of you & Gene together in the back of that truck. That would be even funnier.

You don't think we would let Gene sit in the back of a pick up truck, do you? We let him have the front seat. Hopefully, Al will post a pic of jp's buddy that was passed out on the floor of our hotel room. The poor guy couldn't keep up.

In case I forget, the Shure guys (Matt and Sean), quoting a phrase that jp likes to use, party like rock stars. We closed down the hotel with them on Saturday night.

JP looks like some sort of magical, sparkly genie in that picture.

Looking forward to the Tampa meet more and more

Nice pic, but based on your midnight phone calls, that moment only kicks off the stories.

I've noticed jp11801 has been strangely absent from posting this thread...and any others...hmmm...what did you guys do to him?
