Thank you!

Quick impressions because it's late. I won't upload pictures until tomo...later today.

I've heard only a fraction of the amazing stuff our members and vendors have put out to share with us, but what I've heard and seen has been incredible. Out of what I've experienced so far, here are my nominations for:

Sickest product of the meet
Despite all the other dastardly gear on display, the clearest proof of Head-Fi's alignment with the Powers of Darkness and Chaos and the coming Apocalypse is the Yuin PK-1. It looks like an earbud. It feels like an earbud. It has skinny nothing little wires like an earbud. Like an earbud, it does not seem to require an amp. But within its black plastic shell, demonic forces have somehow enslaved the soul of a full-sized open headphone, a very good full-sized headphone, and, in a twisted perversion of all that is right and natural, compelled it to sing for your pleasure in its full glory with subtlety, detail, power, range and finesse.

Full-sized open headphone. In your ear. On tiny nothing little cords and unamped. 140 dollars. The end is near, I tell you.

Most versatile product of the meet (tie)
Squeezeboxes were everywhere, on member tables and in vendor displays. Deservedly so. This great little source (with or without an outboard DAC) is such a handy bridge between the digital music on your computer and the music system(s) elsewhere in your home and office that it's a natural for Meets as well. Just a super product. And no, an external DAC isn't required. I like mine as a source just as much as I like my HeadRoom Micro DAC.

ALOaudio's line-out docks were also everywhere. Whether you were a member, a portable amp vendor, or an IEM vendor, the ALO docks were clearly the method of choice for getting a quality signal from an iPod to an amp.

Most coveted product of the Meet that was also easy to score
Shure black olive foamies. "The first two are free" pretty much says it all.

Product drawing biggest "ooooooh" of covetousness during door prize drawing
Ray Samuels Audio Tomahawk.

That's all for now. Hopefully will have more to post in a few hours.

The Meet reports have clinched my decision to get a SB. Now, how does it sound with the Ultra MicroDAC?

EDIT: I'm still not clear, was a new Singlepower balanced amp introduced?

Why aren´t there more pics of the new Westone 3? I think that there are a lot of people who are interested in those new IEMs! Hope there´ll be some short reviews about their sound and design (with pics) later this day.

I'd actually like to hear more specifics on what was discussed during the amp builders roundtable and the Steve Hoffman talk.

Any chance these will be put on a downloadable video like last year?

So many unanswered questions, such as:

Any detailed impressions of the Raptor?

Oh, and did anybody try the new Sennheiser noise-cancelling phones?

Were there audio comparisons of the Ultra Micros or other new Headroom gear?

How about those Denons...?

...

I hope these talk will be published, so the rest of us can hear/see it. An audio stream perhaps, and even better a video stream...

Could someone tell me what this is and what it does?

I would also like to read impressions on the Micro line by HeadRoom. Thanks.

I am anxiously waiting to hear if there are any electrostatic headphone related announcement.
Ray Samuels Audio, Singlepower, HeadAmp, HeadRoom, ... have shown new amplifiers for dynamic headphones. But are there any news for us with electrostatic headphones?

Neil's Orpheus rig is so beautiful!

It was some kind of amp. It had a pair of RS-1s plugged into it. Strangely, the sound kept on cutting in and out as I was listening to it.
