well i'm thinking about the room since i'm no where near the airport ( ), i'd love to stay over in SJ if i have the chance.

I'm pretty sure Mike, Gene, John, and I'm not sure who else are hanging in Oakland tonight. You should give them a call if you dare. I remember one conversation in which they hoped you'd join them...something about your talent for getting ladies to reveal their tatoos.

Yup, Mike called my cell wanting to know why I'm in San Jose! He and the gang are in SF. Apparently I should have been reading all of the threads about the meet and keeping in tune with everyone's plans.

There are quite a few people here now. immtbiker, romanee, SiBurning, asr, sleestack and voltron (of course), Todd, Ray, Tyll, bhd812, bhjazz, MASantos, and a bunch of others. It's festive already! Beer time...

Ok, that's no problem. Is that for tonight or tomorrow night or both? Anyway, just let them know at the front desk. I'm in room 432. If the front desk gives you any problem, just ask around for me among the guys who are hanging out in the lobby.

well there are like all kinds of things going on. If i can find someone who is willing to take me back to Berkeley on Sunday I would certainly go for splitting saturday night. Right now i only have a ride to the meet on Saturday and back to Berkeley Saturday night. I originally planned for both days, but he's busy on Sunday. If I can't find a ride, i think i'll taxi back to berkeley on Sunday. the only thing that needs to be worked out there is whether I can find a way to stay there on Saturday night.

I would love to start the whole thing tonight, but I have no way to get there, sorry.

Oh, BTW: the SF Chronicle has a section called "96 Hours" that details all the bands and shows in SF and Berkeley for the weekend, there are quite a few things going on. Tonight alone there are 45 musical performances (the best imho is Lura at Zellerbach). I suggest some of you out of towners check it out: http://www.sfgate.com/96hours/

Tylls headroom setup was awe inspiring.... amps, sources, transports, PCs... Even... SPEAKERS!!

I got to listen to the new balanced amp on a K701. Totally blown away. Ive never heard this much separation and soundstage from a dynamic driver setup.

TTVJ and Ray also had an incredible arsenal of gear. I was also pleased to see some mid-priced Koss phones on display too. Head-Fi doesn't always have to be wallet breaking.
