Ok, so I'm here in San Jose at the Radisson, and nobody else seems to be here yet. Guess that means I'll be first in line at the buffet table!

I've got a room with 2 queen beds so if anyone forgot to book a room, give me a ring at 432 and I'll arrange a discount price for you! I've also got a mini van in case anyone needs shuttle service to the airport.

I did see Wes Phillips getting off of the elevator a while ago, but he didn't see me, so I let the moment pass. I've got some work to do on my laptop and figured this afternoon would be the best time to do it. Once all of the crazy people like immtbiker, tyrion, stevio, Tyll, Ray, and Johnny Numbers arrive, I won't have any peace!

The Radisson is a nice property but there aren't too many restaurants in the neighborhood. After roaming around in all directions for quite some time, I ended up at McDonald's about 6 blocks away for a nice low calorie lunch.

Nothing else to report yet. I'll keep an eye out for more headphone geeks and report back as they arrive.

Wayne did you bring the Santa suit? The geeks might have a hard time recognizing you in plain clothes, but go wander around the lobby in that and I'm sure you'll have plenty of new friends. Just watch out for the ones who want to sit on your lap and ask for gear from your workshop.

Hi Matthew! I'm assuming that you weren't able to make it for this trip. Otherwise, you surely would have been the first one to start a meet impressions thread, even before you've actually met anyone!!! So I'm just taking a page out of your book. Everyone else will have to weed through a couple of pages of nonsense before they can read some real impressions.

I've got into my room just now and I too have a spare bed in my room Would you be the one chilling in the lobby with a laptop?

Im getting off work now... Cisco offices are 15 minutes down the street.

Anyone want to demo the q-jays prototypes... and post some brief impressions? I don't have much gear with me. Just my LG cell phone as source

edit** DOH!!! Got pulled into a meeting on my way out of the cubicle!!

WOW! An impression thread already! I have yet to pick up my car rental and drive up there. LOL!

I'm here. Place is nice, but yeah not too much in the immediate area. I did see one room full of amp-goodness on the first floor though... Mmm Mmm Mmm !!

this is sickening!!! i really want to be there but I am now in the Philippines. Maybe next year I guess. I'll just send over a friend of mine over there to report to me

go past the reception desk on the right hand side..follow it around and go to the left. I did not get a chance to go lick the toys, but there were some nice items in there.

I arrived just after noon and was the whole afternoon at downtown San Jose.

Sure, but which offer? I'd be happy to pick you up at the airport if that's what you're referring to. Or if you need a room, it would be much cheaper for both of us if we shared. I'm going to be out mixing with people most of the time anyway.
