Jecklin Float Electrostatic: Refurbishment & Review (lots of pictures) - Page 6

Vidmaven, thanks, now I will know.
I asked the author to upload photos, but he was silent. I wrote about how I restored my headphones, electrodynamic, on Russian lingual display. I can lay out an overview recovery when I have new photos and translated into English as my native language is Russian. This will be within a month.

The OP has left this site a while ago so there is little chance he'll upload those pictures again.  Refurbishing the Floats is pretty straightforward though but do check the drivers carefully as they can get damaged.

@ all: Thanks!

Besides the rotten foam, two of the black plastic pieces are broken. I just asked quad-music.de (they offer the foam replacements) if they have these in stock. Otherwise I have to build them from black acrylic... . Hope to be able to post some pictures this evening (UTC+1).

Greetings, Joerg

OK,

talked to the guys at quad-music.de: They recommend to replace the "plastic pieces" with foam(ed) rubber (we call it "Moosgummi").

Greetings, Joerg

backinblack, you can take pictures to all the captions are read, especially on the right side ? What is this button on top? You can take a picture of her ?

@ maximuslt: Sure, no problem! The button on top is the fuse-holder, I suppose.

Here we go:

The button is an on/off switch rolleyes.gif

backinblack, thank you very much, we are in our thinking that it is some sort of control from above. According to the voltage of 220V you live in Europe ?

Just opened the case:

OK, final approach to the button: It switches between speaker/headphone.

In this picture you can see a newer version with the button in front.
