Well, there's been a lot of interesting opinions in this thread thus far, but I'll tell you what I know:
At 7:15 AM, the 911 call was received, and we were notified via e-mail via an e-mail with a time stamp of 9:26 AM, which I didn't get because I was eating breakfast at that point. It can be argued that it was an isolated incident and they had no reason to believe any further shootings would occur, and it could also be argued that there was a complete lack of response given the circumstances. The fact is, there was a lack of any sort of response that could have had a remote chance of saving lives, and for that, I am guessing Dr. Charles Steger, our president, and the Cheif of Police will lose their jobs. It's sad to see such a good president go, but under these circumstances, I can't see how he could keep his job.
Oh, also, I think I said earlier in the thread that Stack was a Tuba player. That was a dumb slip-up, he was a baritone player and I knew it. argh, oh well. Bottom line, though, his loss is what is important.
Also, I just found out what the other victim was, it was Lauren McCain. My roommate told me she died today as a result of a gunshot to the back of the head. I didn't know her very well, but I know she tried out for MV's and I am sure she will be sorely missed as she was a very kind person with a lot of friends from what I knew of her.
Well, I guess there's not much to say here. Perhaps this is a thread best left alone now, as it is a sensitive topic.
Thanks for all of your condolences. I'm not the only one who appreciates your prayers.
