I really need to build that firstwatt:




yes, that is a stock soha powering my k1000's, and yes, I used packing tape to keep the connection there.

Suprisingly, it drives them to reasonable levels, albeit with some distortion.... I'm hoping they improve significantly with some better amplification...

If I were you, I'd just leave them in the box for a while. That SOHA unprotected on the desk like that is scary, and the thought of shorting something and blowing up the k1k's is terrifying. Wait till you get some proper amplification, and THEN experience the k1000 sound. It'll be worth the wait.

yea.. I think I had enough initial taste to refrain from using them for the time being....
