I've always wondered how often other people drop their headphones. I myself am fairly careful, but drops have happened in the past.
I think to date I've only dropped my HD650s between 3-5x in the 3.5 years that I've owned them. No noticeable damage on the outside or change in sound... but you never know. I've actually dropped my Headroom Amp a couple times or rather people have tripped over cables plunging it to the ground. That sucks as well, but so far it has seemingly escaped with only dings to the exterior. However, a drop can't be good for the lifetime of an amp.
Generally what happens is that I'll trip over the cable while reaching for something or move to answer the phone/door. It sucks.
I haven't dropped my w5000s or Qualias at all. Perhaps I've learned from my past mistakes and will forever avoid another drop incident!
Anyway, any of you have any especially memorable drops? Or perhaps you've NEVER dropped a pair of headphones? Let us know!
