Having a hard time with this one. Though that set-up is a monster so how about Fitzenstein? "It's alive! IT'S ALIVE!!!"

That or the Dark Monster by Fitz.

Okay... okay... I'm still thinking!

Steve,

Not that this helps with the naming dilemma but I think it'd be super-sweet if you could have a custom front and back panel made to join the two amps into one. Sort of like the old Blockhead.

This one is easy:

FM Obsidian

Edit: here is my reasoning --

Obsidian: A volcanic glass, usually of rhyolitic composition, formed by rapid cooling of viscous lava. The color is jet-black because of abundant microscopic, embryonic crystal growths (crystallites) which make the glass opaque except on thin edges.

Also: "twins" in mineralogy refers to two interwoven crystals that are mirror images of each other. FM Obsidian Twin (?) or FM Obsidian 2

I know Fitz is ignored in this name, so it's probably not going to win, but "Romulus and Remus" sprung to mind loking at those beasts.

There's the power aspect, there's the aspect of balance between the two. There's the raw energy implied by the "wolf" imagery.

That's what I'd call them anyway.

Funny you should mention this, philodox just turned me onto this site a few days ago.

I think I'll play around with their design software, and see what i can come up with.

There are some great suggestions so far.
For single names I like

"Ramming Blocks", "Darkvoice Duet 336-Fitz" and "Fitzenstein"

For double names

"The Twins" is awesome, if you've been keeping up with the banter of Fitz and myself you'll understand why.

"Apollo and Prometheus" and "Hammer and anvil" are also very good.

"Thor and Odin" may be my favorite so far. Of coarse I'll have to work Fitz into the name, but if I end up having a custom faceplate made I could have each name in the respective upper right and left corners, and

Darkvoice 336i
Extreme Mod by Fitzpatrick Audio

in the lower right corner.

As a proud owner of a FM amp, all be it only slightly modded, Fitz has been using the FM label for a while. On his original DV and I use it on mine. Might want to use that somehow, its easier than Fitz

Yeah that was just a thought, I'll actually have Fitz decide what name he wants in the lower right corner if I end up going with a custom faceplate.

I agree with phergus that this build falls within the FM line. I also like names that maintain the spirit of the name "Darkvoice."

The Dark Choir, by Fitz

I actually really liked the names Super predator came up with. So going with the Obsidian name, why not name them...

Like the way Fitz orifinally made his 336 faceplate, you'll have it in all grey, with an etched "DARKVOICE" on the top and instead of the THA336FM, you'll have "OBSIDIAN F" on one amp, and OBSIDIAN M" on another.

I like it. A black faceplate might also be appropriate; I guess it depends on what other equipment he's trying to match.
