I would go for the AKG K701 - without a doubt. But concidering the pricerange you're aiming for - I would rather go for the Audio Technica ATH-AD2000 !!

Audio Technica ATH-AD2000...
i cant met tat price....
for K 701
will it have the point i seeking?
will it feel relax when listen to it?
of coz i will love the details, but i dun want something too harsh

The hd650 has a relaxed and laid back sound, warm, a little rolled of in the treble so it is absolutely not harsh, it is also quite bassheavy so low frequency detail is very nice, like low piano notes, cellos and drums are amazing. They also bring out male vocals very nice, a little recessed with female volcals (this seems to be the only thing that don't fit your music) you absolutely have to test this Headphone.

I guess davesrose also will coment on this can soon

I have owned all of these headphones except the dt990. The two I consistently favor are the senn 600 and AKG 701. I think the 650 is to bass heavy and the dt880 is to treble prominent and somewhat bass shy. The 580/ 600 has a rich bass bit not to much .... with an easgoing and refined sound. The 701 is more neutral with a somewhat airier and more spacious sound vs the 600. I tend to use them both about the same amount of time. They are different but equally good to me.

I've had all these headphones. for your preferences i would immediately take the HD650 over anything else.

the K701 sounds a bit dry for vocals, and the DT880 is too bright for warmth and comfort.

Having owned the DT880 and HD650, and have had extensive time listening to the K701, i too have to say, that nothing can beat the HD650 for the requirements mentioned.

I've tried out several of the headphones you listed, and I think the akg k701 is better for vocals.

I would also recommend the 650's, in particular for female vocals. I disagree with Gurra, don't think the 650's would be recessed for female vocals. They are just great for all vocals, male and female. Not to diminish the others headphones, it all comes down to personal preference probably. But from your preferences (vocal, classical, orchestra), it seems the 650's would be a good match that you could't go wrong with.

For orchestra and classical HD650 are definitely a ticket.
DT880 better suit for metal and electronica, have gobs of details and imo better PRaT.

701 is alot brighter, as said before the 650 is warm and bassheavy, I would say that 650 is more soft and laidback than 701.

I still think 650 has a drop in I'm not so good in saying what frequence, but I think it is upper midrange lower highs, that on my sources makes bright singing females sound a little recessed, but this is with my stuff (quite neutral stuff I think) But for your music it's no hard brainer, I think 650 is for you, Just think about combine it to a great source + Amp.

Pick up both the HD650 and K701 (or dt880 instead of the K701). Then when you're in the mood for laid back, pick up your 650s, and use the k701/dt880 when you want to listen the details. Or employ an equalizer. *shrug*

That is why I enjoy both DT880 and HD650 equally.
Each is perfect for specific job.
