Seriously this a smart move by Headroom. The DPS was an excessive extra cost. schaqfu my understanding is that the DPS will still give you a performance improvement (nice to have another purchase when upgradeitis hits) but now it's incremental rather than so huge as to be essential.
All HR Home modules require an upgraded power supply, so it is "essential" in that regard.

I'm not sure that we are disagreeing. I'm comparing the new Astrodyne power supply to the DPS (based only on what I have read). From the old power supply, an upgrade was apparently essential, but no longer with the Astrodyne.

Myabe nothing. I was pointing out that the Astrodyne is an upgraded power supply.
