Shure E2C replacement ear tips/wax filters?

My last pair of wax filters for my Shure E2Cs are just beginning to get clogged, so I'm thinking about getting new ones. However, at $10 for a 5 pack, they are pretty expensive. Do I need to use these with the E2s? I know that some of Shure's higher end models have no wax filter requirement.

Also, does anyone know of any flanged eartips (such as those that come with the E4Cs or Etymotic ER6s) that would fit on the E2Cs (perhaps with a bit of modification)? The foam tips don't really work for me, and the black rubber ones start to fall out after a while.

I've attached some links to pics of the in-ear tube on the E2Cs

Thanks for any help in advance

Yes, but they have also more narrow nozzle comparing to E2cs

I guess it depends how gucky your ear canal gets! I have E2cs and no longer bother with the wax blocker thing - just every week or so I clean round the top & inside of the tube. No biggie........

...er, unless of course you have wax factories beavering up for a war effort in there!

Thanks for the advice!

So these dual flange tips intended for the Super.Fi series will fit no the Shure E2Cs? Is there any modification/trimming required?
