Just bought a pair of Shure E500's to replace my E4C's and most probably buying some Grado GS1000's later this week

You did not heed the 'welcome to head-fi' warning That is steep, 50 posts and you are already at over a grand of expences How do you plan on celebrating you 100th post?

I suppose I feel better now because it took me almost 500 posts to spend $1000. Problem is, most of it happened in the last 100 posts. I wanted my custom Beyers. Then I changed the order to 600 ohms... as long as you're going custom, go for it. So now I needed a better and more powerful amp and jumped at a great deal on a Millett Hybrid. But my crappy store cable would no longer do so I ordered a Headphile BlackMax. All that sweet stuff driving off the Bithead as a DAC? No Sir, so I got a Micro DAC.

Sorry about my wallet indeed...

I was just thinking the same thing.....

Oh wait a minute, (6+4+2...carry the 2 +6....ahh hell), I think I have dropped over $1300 on headphone stuff in the last 2 months myself though.....guess I should be quiet eh? Hehe!

Haha, I maintain a 2 to 1 audio to post ratio relationship with head-fi >.< Its terrible. But 20 to 1 is ridiculous O.O

So far this year I have bought a Musiland MD-10, a Headsave and K701s. Cables from bluejeanscable too.

Thats not even considering the HD580s and cmoy I already had either.

I now find myself considering a pair of MS1s just to hear Grados and a pair of DT770/80 for closed headphones, I also have upgraditis for a Canamp.

Not only did I not heed the warnings, I damn well jumped in headfirst.
