the number of the beast for it is a human number,
its number is Six hundred and sixty six.
....
was all this for real or just some kind of hell
666 the Number of the Beast ....

There are many interesting interpretations of the Number of the Beast,
e.g. that this number refers to Nero Caesar.

Another iteresting one is: Is "www" = 666?

The Number of the Beast has been studied by historians, numerologists, etc.

Here is my own contribution to this topic.

Solve the following quadratic equation at your own risk. - You will eventually Scream!

x^2 - 1332 x + 443556 = 0



What are your thoughts about the Number of the Beast?

The Number of the Beast!!!

P.S.
The original translation is:

Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast:
for it is the number of the man;
and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

This 'threescore' leads to yet another interpretations!

Well its pretty obvious Adam (x-666)(x-666)=0

Yes I've read on Wikipedia that 'www' in Hebrew translates to '666', just one instance of where those numbers crop up.

It's all clear now.

www = 666 = The Devil

Al Gore = The Internet = www

Thusly we can only conclude that Al Gore = The Devil ... or ManBearPig

Wait there is even more proof.

The Devil = Hot

Al Gore = The Devil as found previously

Al Gore also = The Cause of Global Warming

Thusly we can again conclude Al Gore = The Devil

I'll post quick before this thread is locked down.

"666" is encoded in most UPC codes, as you may know. Do you see the thin double lines in the middle and at both sides? Those are sixes, in the right-hand code. You see, the lines on the left side are coded differently than the lines on the right. I looked at a lot of canned goods and figured it out years ago.

my hebrew numbers are pretty lousy, but i guess their translating "w" a the hebrew "vav" the sixth letter of the aleph-bet. there's two school's of pronunciation, (i'm gonna butcher this), "saphardic" and "ashcanazin". i'd call the sixth letter a "vav", but others translate it with more of a "w" sound i think


anyway, 7 is the number of completion in the bible. God created the earth in seven days, thus seven days in a week (and a lot more that i can't recall ). 6 is sorta the number of incompletion and inperfection. "sin" is to fall short, to "miss the mark" like in achery, you "miss the mark" of perfection
