I use the Xin SuperMacro LE with LM4562 opamps in L&R with my
UltraSone2500s and it is a great match!

First, you need to be aware that the PROline 2500s need an amplifier that delivers plenty of current in order for them to sound their absolute best.

This is a different requirement to that of higher impedance cans such as the HD650 which are looking for higher voltage to drive them properly.

I've had wonderful results with the Heed Audio CanAmp for my PROlines, but that might be a little more money than you're looking to spend. Portable-wise, my Go-Vibe V5S is also up to the task, especially when powered by an external 24V power supply.

Amplifiers that I've had the opportunity to try with my 2500s that did not have enough power to run them include the HeadFive, Woo 3, and the Musical Fidelity X-Can V3.

Good luck!

My Hornet and the 2500s are a nice match.

Hi

Im refreshing old topic, because I dont see fresh one. I just bought pro2500 and comparing to beyers dt880pro they sound really promising. Unfortunately xonar stx isnt best partner for them. Highs are quite harsh and sibilant. Rest is controlled quite well. So im searching something rthat could make that highs easier to listen:) Then that headphones could be really strong opponent to dt880pro. I could sell stx and buy other dacamp if it exist for these headphones

I like Ultrasone 2500 with PPA or M3 for solid state amp. If you are looking for tube amp, try LD Mk III, it sounds very nice to my ear as well. For portable amp, maxxed Portaphile will be my choice for this can. You can find all of above amps within  your price range most likely.

Ok, hope this thread is still alive!

Are the Fiio e7 and e9 combo a good amp for the 2500's?
