Totally addicted to Head-fi. Not just the buying of new equipment, but the number of hours I spend trawling these forums. Anyone ever broken the addiction? How to get out of this??!

If anyone has, they won't be replying you. Right?

Once you go Head-fi, there's no going back.

Well, there are those who can at least control when they come and go

Sort of like recreational drug users who were formally mega junkies

Aslong as it doesn't affect your life, what's the problem? If you're missing work and meals then, yes you have a problem.

I'm currently fasting from buying equipment and sold all my stuff.

I would recommend outdoor activities, getting a girlfriend or maybe switching to speakers.

i tried switching to guitars. bad mistake. now i have even more cash leaving the wallet in another black hole, and the headphone curse is STILL going strong. i guess i shouldn't have picked two that are so closely related (music) - they feed each other, noooo!
For the record, the bigger one is Head-fi.

Getting married is easy ...I just used one of those mail order catalogues.
Me and Ting Tong are very happy.

1) Be content with what you have
2) Be ignorant

I chose "1" and I am truthfully content with what I have head-fi poison me no more!

Yes - digital SLR cameras. Now I check BOTH head-fi AND dpreview forums all the time. Keep buying new lenses on the other side.

And I did get married too... it didn't work either. Now whenever I need to upgrade, I rationalise it as "My wife's headphones could do with replacement. She can have my current one, and I'll go get a new pair for myself".
