OVC TC20 in ear canal headphones

Received them today, bought it for a friend but I'm trying it out anyways . Here's my quick first impressions

Very nice headphones, little to no sibilance at all. It is not very bassy but it has nice treble especially the midrange. My equalizer from my YP-Z5 nicely boosts the bass without distorting the sound. These headphones are comfortable as well, very light and I can barely feel them in my ears. Straight out of the box, no burn in, I do wonder if they will change for the good after burn in though. I'm listening to yellowcard and the vocals do not sound like they are in your face, there's some apparent soundstage for the vocals, not so much for the instruments however.

I don't know if I will do a follow up after burn in, probably handing it over to my friend soon

These are totally worth the money, from ebay it's about $30

Do they only sell those online?

I wonder how the Crossroads Mylarone compare.

Please let us know your future impressions.
I'd like to read an accurate comparison with the Sennheiser CX300, too.

Also, did someone find the Crossroads MylarOne on eBay?

PS The OVC T20 are on sale at 15 $ on eBay

contact uncle wilson at jaben, i dont think they are on ebay.

they are supposed to be an upgraded version of ovc t20 that is basically better in every way except maybe quality control ( http://z10.invisionfree.com/headphon...showtopic=1369 )

Here's a quick note

I put these up against my im716, the vocals on both of them sounds similar but seems more natural and soft on the TC20. The highs and bass is better on the im716 without a doubt, but so far I haven't really noticed anything too different about the details. I will listen in some more. I must admit acoustic tracks sound very nice on the TC20 but still better on the im716.

If you liked the tc20, MylarOne is even better. All the highs of the tc20, with added bass and a fuller sound.

do you mean its better only with an amp?
Its better, period. I've been using these ampless, but an amp will tighten up the bass some.

using an amp, it will go right up to rival SF5p, um2

Man, a flashy pouch and cable management, I certainly hope the similarities to the Vibes are coincidence.

Is there any identifiable difference between the tc20 and the first series Mylarone? I'd heard reports of them being effectively identical and all built by OVC. The subsequent versions like the X3 supposedly have improved drivers, but AFAIK that is the only SQ difference.
