I am considering upgrading my stock 40 gig H140 harddrive to a 60 gig drive. This H140 drive is my original unit (have three H1xx) and the unit/drive has approximately 200-250 hours of use and is 100% functional. I primarily used this H140 drive as my bedside unit with a MicroDAC, therefore it has never been bumped, dropped, etc.
The drive model is a Toshiba MK4004GAH (usual stock H140 drive). This drive will work as a replacement in H140's, H340's, the thicker X5's, and previous generations of ipods (in the case of ipod, you will need to jump through some formatting hoops...thanks Apple).
New 40 gig drives (MK4004GAH/MK4006GAH) are available now for $97.49 (best price) as of today. Looking to get $75 for this 40 gigger....feedback below.
