Well.. the title says it all really
Just need a software that'll convert dvd decrypter rips to the .wmv at whatever resolution zune's screen is
Or if there's one that does it straight from DVDs, even better

Zune software (the worst piece of software i've ever used) has to reconvert all my old mpeg files.. result- horrible quality

I use MPEG Streamclip to convert my videos to mp4 then convert the mp4's to wmv in the ZUNE software. Thats how I get videos to play on my Zune.

the website to get the software is: www.Squared5.com

Yeah.. that's whay i've been doing as well
But when it's reconverted into WMV isn't it encoded to even more encoded?
Or does video not work the same way music does (eg. 192 ripped to 192 of a different format will be worse)

I have been using the FREE Windows Media Encoder 9 downloaded directly from Microsoft/Windowsmedia web.

If you want hassle free encoding with the exact quality needed for zune, use Convert a File -> Windows Media Hardware Profile -> 605Kbps 320X240 at 29.97FPS.

Can even be used to directly rip VCDs .DAT file.

DVD Decrypter > Auto Gordian Knot > Xvid AVI > Windows Movie Maker > WMV
