I got the 325is over the 225i because it didn't have the treblespikes i noticed in the 225i.

But again, if you are a HD600 kind of guy, than the 325is will probably become too much for you.

But there are moments i wish the 325is had even more energy...:D

To me the 325i was very much in your face no nonsense headphones....and with the right music....AC/DC for example.......I wanted more at times!

I feel that out of all my Grados, the 325is's can be listened too at higher volumes than the other Grados without fatigue, and the mid-range is nice and thick/ full.

Are the latest Grado 325is still coming in the chrome finish? Or have they reverted back to the aluminum?

I'm not much of a purist, or even seasoned audiophile, but I've found the 325is with FIIO e12 amp + bass boost (around 5? @dB 100hz)  makes it very appealing.

The 325is's don't come in either finish, they come in a sparkle gray, I own them.

Just changes in finishes? Nothing else that we know of?

No, there are other differences like cup shape, conductor cable size, maybe even cable materials, maybe even frequency response, but we were just discussing the finishes. I'm sure there are a lot of changes that I'm unaware of.
