Yes, Pioneer HDJ-1000 breaks very easily, even more fragile than early type of Bose triport.

I suggest Grado series or some Audio Technica headphones. They are both awesome looks and superior audio quality. Be warned that Grado's are not full size ones. Or, how about these?

I'd have to kill myself before I owned anything with Bling Bling in the name. I'm going to do the amp in an altoids tin thing to go with my nano thanks. Also, that link. . . Wow. i think you just redefined sexy headphones for me. A little of me is dying inside having to choose between these, which someone said earlier were complete rubbish (I don't know if it was those specific ones), or the apparently godly sounding Grados that everyone thinks are the most super bad ass headphones ever.

Grados are bad ass, Alessandro even more so (because normal people don't know where to buy them-Grados are on Amazon)

Skull Candies, Phillips, Samsung, Panasonic, or similar brand will be crap despite looking cool.

Style vs. Substance

Make the mature decision.

I don't understand why it's so hard to make something that performs well and looks good at the same time. I've also just been informed that the Grados aren't full size? That's not going to work out for me. My ears are pretty out there, and anything I put on my head that presses against them as support hurts like a bitch after an hour or so. I'm talking like, unbearable, my ear is getting cut off pain.

So, bottom line, anything that looks excellent will suck, while everything that performs well looks exactly the same as everything before it?

AKG K-501's actually look pretty good, in a conservative sort of way,

I don't even like the look of the skull candys. They just look clee-shay (spelling!) and try-hard. MY ms'1s beat it any day.

Eh, depends on your tastes in looks honestly. My Sennheiser hd595 looks and performs, but it has a very reserved look without anything funky. Grados are bad-ass I guess, but I personally do not like their sound (even though they are good...), and I HATE their look. But then I am a fan of modern but neat and reserved looks, things like Audio-Technica ath-w5000 and AKG k701 are beautiful to me. In the case of the latter, the cheaper akg k601 still performs quite quite well. But all of these got their own style that will not appeal to someone who is looking for a goofy look.

I would pick a headphone by its sound quality and not by its looks, but the choice is yours.
The Audio-Technica ATH-EM7 looks nice though...

The audio-technica clip-ons we showed you WILL perform well. Hell I even started a thread for the EW9 to gather some impressions out of my own curiosity. But they are not full-size, they are miniature size xD.

And there are full-sized phones that will perform as well if not better than grados for many people. I can't stand Grados, as stated I use hd595. If you want closed - I listened to ath-a700 and I enjoyed it plenty more than Grados. I also believe that ath-a700 looks better, but we prefer sound around here.

I just, what about HD280, MDR7506 / MDR V6, or MDR V600 - all circumaural? From amongst them perhaps HD280. BUT - although over your range - most awsome 1. HMD25-1, 2. DT100 / DT150, 3. DT770PRO

Skullcandys are hideous.

I don't see how anyone can't appreciate the smooth lines of the HD555. I don't have first hand knowledge of the sound, but many people like it for the price.
