I am going to hate myself when I ship this out, but I need money for other toys. Some history first. Grundig was synonymous with quality shortwave products from the 40's through the 80's. It can be assumed that the high cost of German labor forced the company to sell out. To make a long story short, a company named Eton apparently bought the branding rights to Grundig and badged the Satellite 800 as a Grundig. Here's the thing. The Satellite 800, though made in China, was engineered by R. L. Drake of the United States, one of the premier shortwave radio companies in the world. Some of these 800's were refurbished by Drake and resold by Universal Radio. There are no more left. These will be collectors items in the future, especially this one, cause, no b.s., it works perfectly. It is large, it sounds great, it has a ball bearing tuner, synch detection for better reception, three bandwidths, and works great with an active indoor or passive outdoor antenna. Mine is about three months old. It includes manual, original box, but no headphones. Anyhoo, first one gets it. I'll eat the paypal fees and ship it for 599 dollars.
