I think you are right about that. But I have to buy some anyways cause we need some more here.

And yes, this is a smokers-house so no probs there! It is only that there probably someone who is gonna take their little son with them and I don't think they will like it when someone smokes around their kid. But we will see when they have arrived and it is not sure the little boy is coming.
But I have a garden, a garage and a shed so it should be no problem at all.
I do need to exercise that hobby also so we will work it out!

Oh, and thanx for the translations. I already adjusted the-stuff-we-need-post.

I can't tell you yet. It depends if my kid has something planned for me, and I won't know until it's close to the date. I will let you know.

You'll not have to worry about a ride -- I'll gladly pick you up.

Also correct. Let me try to take that a bit further:

Distribution board, multibox, plug board, power board, power bar, gangplug, plugbar, relocatable power tap.

Make your pick.

It all depends on which the part of the world you are living I guess.

It is being sponsored fully by us, but I would gently ask for a kind of free contribution to help sponsoring cause I will have to buy some stuff that will be needed such as drinks and food, and stuff to make tables from, extension cords etc. I will put this in the original post as well. I hope you all don't mind me asking this...
I have absolutely no problem with this. After all you are already providing us with a place for the meet, there is no reason you should also shoulder all the costs.

For bringing things, I will try to come with a small foldable table to put my gear on (you probably don't have 10+ tables at home so some people will have to bring one with them). Also all my stuff is battery powered, so you can plan to put me in a corner where there is no power, and also no powerstrip is needed for me. I will also see if I have a spare one I can take with me in case somebody else needs one.

I'll ofcourse bring my own power strips, and will most likely have plenty left over for others.

Are there people that have some decent audiophile grade vinyl? If you do, please bring it! I'll bring all good quality vinyl I have, but unfortunatly, that's not a whole lot.

Well, I'll be bringing some vinyl if we aren't going by train. The car with which we wanted to go there is a wreck now and I don't know whether we will be able to arrange another car. (not that my vinyl or recordplayer is of audiophile grade, but still )

Also, we might not be able to bring any tables if we are going by train.

I have one vinyl record at my place . Don't know if it is highqual though. Haven't heard it for years since I no longer own a player that works.
I will see of I can arrange some of my dad. He has a lot of old music on vinyl as well as classical stuff I believe.

I do not think that I can follow you on that one Rik, cos my home situation isn't that speaker like and you move to fast as well
So I will stick with phones for a while and see where the ship will stranded
Congrats with your new hobby and I hope your wallet will hate you even more, so we can see and maybe hear a lot more from your new set ups man

I've spent less than 4 hours with the K1000 in the last couple weeks. The K1000 and K1000 Selektor will be for sale (and if not sold, it'll be sold here on Head-Fi), the Aleph might be for sale as well as I've caught myself looking for nice second hand tube amps.

So, to all you Ultrasone users who're looking to get a real headphone, there's your chance.

I think I'll pick up some other headphone though to tide me over at night time, but a much less high end one.

Definitely stick to headphones Sergei! I'm sure that in the end they'll be a much better choice, but stupid as I am, I'm always looking for new things.

I won't leave headphones entirely ofcourse -- there'll always be nighttime to listen to them.I'm really looking forward to summer, some free time to spend on DIY projects. First another pair of speakers (see the DIY section, topic FE126e horns), then maaayyybe a tube amp, some tweaks to my cd player, and a couple more things I've been planning.

Don't worry about my wallet - it has already filed for a divorce.
