Some time ago you wanted to buy another K1000.
Yeah, I am serious. I was still using the K1000 a lot when looking for a second pair -- but ever since I've just been listening less and less to it. It's not that it's not to my liking, but speakers just sound so much better in the way that there's really a body to the music.

I did have two for a little while, it just technically wasn't really mine.

Woo! Congrats!
Now all you need to watch is this: http://www.funny-games.biz/animation...-to-drive.html and then this: http://video.google.nl/videoplay?doc...79849418629011

Wait, does this mean I can't drive safely through the Maastricht area anymore? Dear god -- I'm taking the train to the meet.

Oh, and for adding some info on the meet:
It is being sponsored fully by us, but I would gently ask for a kind of free contribution to help sponsoring cause I will have to buy some stuff that will be needed such as drinks and food, and stuff to make tables from, extension cords etc. I will put this in the original post as well. I hope you all don't mind me asking this...

I can guarantee that I'll still have my entire setup at the meet!
Yeah, my teacher also hadn't learned me anything cool like that. I'm desperatly catching up.

Train.... no, I'll stick to the car. Will be a nice drive and I don't fancy carrying 50+ kg's of gear on a train.

If anything needs a ride from the Schiphol area, or is located somewhere along the way, shoot me a PM and I'll pick you up for the meet.

I don't have a problem with this at all and since we are all planning on making use of your hospitiblity I don't think anyone will. No one else is going through any trouble to set this up so I think it would be very reasonable to ask a small contribution from everyone who is going to attend the meet at your place.

Maybe it's a good plan to all read this post for a few reminders.

We could also make a small list of the things needed. ( tables, chairs, powercords, extension cords, brands of whisky, ashtrays, painkillers, fire extinguishers) I've been awake for too long, I'm rambling I know but you get the point.

I once took a complete cinema bench (2 seats) with me on the train. Since there isn't a policy on cinema benches it went for free.

I have absolutely no problem with this and would be glad to help. I like Enoyins idea -- let's try to form a list of things that will be needed so we can all help out with that.

No problem, and we'll be glad to help you out with things you need, so just let us know what you need!

The minidiscs I'm bringing are the MZ-RH1 (portable recorder) and the
MZ-EH1 (portable player). Off course I'll bring some discs too

Thanx for the link! I already made a list of things I need to buy.
It contains
beer ( )
Cola or such
Small breads
Food to fry
Toiletpaper
Extension cables
Nametags
Multiple Sockets or Powerstrips
Trestles

Something like that. I will look after the food & drinks so no need to bring that. (or you would like to have a certain brand of wodka, feel free bringing it )

If you have something to add or if I forgot something, please let me know.

Any particular reason those two last ones are grouped together?

Huh? But you're asking for all of that in the list?

Yeah, people should bring their bathing suits for the pool!

Or might be better not to ask that to make things interesting.

Multiple socket. Aussies call it powerboard I think. The hardest part of English are the easy words I think. I experienced this a lot myself.

I think everyone should at least take enough for him/ herself. That way I don't think we have to worry about it.

Schraag = trestle

That's in this case. If you mean the things to lift barrels (wine barrels I mean) "schraag" would be translated as gantry.

Maybe I will be able to take a complete table with me, but I will have to confer that with the person with who I am coming. ( he is coming for sure BTW. )

Edit: Just a thing here. I a smoker (again) and since I don't want to ruin the environment for those who are not, I so would like to ask if there is a place where I can exercise this hobby. I don't mind if that is outside at all, but if it's raining (let's hope not, but round here we can't be sure) I would most certainly like some shelter. I don't know whether you've got a lean-to or something like it and, if not, maybe something else can be arranged?
