What a "cute" couple...

All the little extras then come with....

From the back

Can't ignore the side....

My f*&#ing eyes!

Biggest and best for last

What could this be....

Why hello there....

Comes with a home built for it already....

Peekaboo!

Up close and personal

Banana stand to finish it off!

Running Foobar2k of course! (download config: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SRNMRZ24
)

All powered by the ThinkPad X60!

Haven't taken a picture of the room with all this set up yet. But here's a before shot for now....

My first IEM
My first Headphone Amp
My first serious Headphone (HD570 previously )

The vibes are just plugged in to the nano right now with no portable amp.
My some what first serious listening equipment. Won't be suprise if more boxes arrive shortly....

Have the HD650 cables being shipped to me right now.
Oh how do you unplug the headphone cables from the HD600, they seem to be in there pretty tight, I'm afraid to tug it too hard....

Wow!! Nice!

Hows that DAC compared to the phone/line out on the X60? I've always found thinkpads to sound service-ably good. But am thinking about upgrading.

Awesome setup you got there! I'd DIE/KILL for something like that. Oh and whats your foobar config? It looks awesome.

whats the Cute amp u ordered? judging by the red LED i think its the Cute Beyond right?

hows the pairing with the Fubar DAC? (is it Fubar or Fubar II?? if im not mistaken the Fubar II is supposed to have "Fubar II" written on the faceplate)

im currently contemplating a Fubar II USB DAC myself to pair with my Cute Battery II and would love to hear some thoughts on the combo.

Matt Good is awesome.

Plus I like your home office set up.

Nice pics and nice setup. And you're an Oiler fan as well!

With a look like that the DAC can't sound bad

Have a link to know more about him ?

Make me more impatient for my Total BitHead to come

I have a Fubar II, and, like ds-'s (the original poster), mine is marked "Fubar" too.

Congratulations, ds-, on all the new gear.

mADmAN, the Fubar II is a very nice-sounding, affordable USB DAC. I am, in fact, listening to it now, driving one set of inputs (of two sets) on my Ray Samuels Audio Raptor. (My CD/SACD setup is plugged into the second of the two sets of inputs on my Raptor.)

Don't you love the x60.

I just got one a month ago and ahhh...

I don't know

I'm in love.

I think you need to replace those CRTs with LCDs and gain back some desk space. Lots of monitor action going on in that pic!

Congrats on the toys. Time to get to some serious listening! And have fun with those Vibes. They really are a sweet little canalphone.

That wouldn't save him space really, he'd need the screens in the same place, they look like they fit perfectly there. Sweet setup!

Yes, that's the Cute Beyond and Fubar II.
The HD600 is a much improvement over my old HD570.

Total of all that equipment cost me almost $1000 CAD.
That's not including the ThinkPad X60 I got about a month ago, which was $1400 CAD. Very good price. Best laptop I've used.

I'd love to get a 20+ inch LCD monitor to replace my CRT, but I barely use my desktop now. But I wouldn't mind having one for my ThinkPad.

The foobar2k setup was a modification of a few other setups I found on the hydrogen forum, this one, and neowin. I can upload the whole thing if anyone is interested (if that's allowed now....)

Need to go to work to fill up my wallet again..... uh
