What cans would you recommend for me? i want "fast" headphones that can keep up with my music, all rock, mostly punk and alternative. also, i want them less than $100 USD. help is appreciated

MS-1 for $99. They aren't the most comfortable, but they do sound very good for the price. If you can find them used, people usually pair them with HD414 pads over the stock ones. They are more comfortable, but they're an ugly yellow-orange.

one more question, i hope... where can i purchase these beasts? Besides ebay and the local garage sale/pawn shop I mean.

You can only order them here:

Although, I kind of remember people saying they were on back order recently.
Alternatively, you can buy them used in the For Sale section. They usually go for around $85 or so used.

The Alessandro MS1 is supposed to be a tweaked version of the Grado SR125

I guess MS-1s are nice; but what about Grados for a fast exciting and "fun" set of cans! Perhaps the SR-60 or SR-80 may be......

......wait a minute! Don't flame me!!

Grado is the same as Alessandro, but the MS-1s are better than the SR-60s and 80s.

Go with the MS-1s. Its that simple.

i was thinking about getting Grados, but now that you mentioned the alessandros, i dont know if I can convince my parents to let me order them off of their website. BTW, I earn my money, so dont flame me for using my parents as a medium

Sorry, MS-1>HD555. The 555s are lacking something that the MS-1s have, hardto explain.
