All I have gotten is "any day now"

Anyone have a credible source as to when the Ultrasone 2500s will be available?

LAst I heard they were supposed to be in stock today?

Just take a deep breath, run around the block a few times, and enjoy your other gear; they'll be there before you even know it!

Are you asking about some specific retailer?
As there is a bunch that seems to have them in stock.

Hey, at least he's starting a separate thread! I'm afraid the big Ultrasone thread is becoming way too large to be useful. The damn thing is like a subforum unto itself, except that it is completely disorganized!

I'm pretty sure he means Northern Sound & Light. That's where everyone seems to be ordering theirs, and I recently heard they had the cans on backorder.

Why not just send NSL an email? If you're buying from them, their response is the only one that matters anyway.

Good advice, I asked them twice already, last Friday and today, still waiting for response.

Did anyone actually ever get anything from them?

emails don't really work with nsl. I called them but they don't have any idea. I was curious if anyone knew someone at Ultrasone Euro or USA.

I would enjoy my other gear if I had any lol. My amp is being tweaked but will be back very soon hence my apprehension. I am rocking some recabled ksc75s atm but it just ain't the same as full headphones.

Once you get them it will take a minimum of 2 weeks to get full burn-in on the Ultrasones. So you best do what Iron_Dreamer says, "Just take a deep breath, run around the block a few times, and enjoy your other gear;"

I ordered a pair of Proline 750s from NS&L on February 1st, and I'm still waiting for them to shipped.
I called Ultrasone USA last Thursday and the dude, there, said he expected the shipment from Europe to arrive that day or the next. If they did arrive, then vendors will receive their orders some time early this week.
NS&L is the ONLY vendor that I could find that's got really good prices on Ultrasones (Proline 750s and 2500s for $255); every other vendor seems to be selling them at or near list ($399).

But where the other retailers getting Ultrasones from?
Has anyone ever got Prolines from NSL for their special price?
So far the cheapest I found is B&H, you have to e-mail for special price and they have free shipping on them.
Wondering if waiting for NSL is actually worth it.

B&H is selling Proline 750s for $330 and 2500s for $340....just checked.
My guess is that NS&L, which is likely a small vendor, doesn't keep a good supply of most things in stock(too costly). They charge customers' credit cards immediately for orders, even if they're out of stock. There was, no doubt, a sudden upsurge in Ultrasone orders, mostly from Head-Fi people.
If I had known that there'd be such a long wait, I might have ordered from B&H even though their prices are $60-$70 more than NS&L. Anyway, it shouldn't be much longer 'till they get their Ultrasone shipment in.....I've waited a month already, so another week (hope it's no more than that!) is not a big deal.

I remember that when Northen Sound had the K701s for $244 (don't know if they still sell them at that price) there was a pretty long wait.

Yeah, I purchased a pair of K 701s from them last
December for $244; they said there'd be about a week's wait 'till they got them in, but they were shipped out to me just a couple of days after I placed my order.
AKG, being a rather large company, likely keeps a large supply of their 'phones at their warehouse, here in the States, but Ultrasone, I think, is a smaller headphone manufacturer with not nearly the sales that AKG generates(and Ultrasone is not all that well known),
and likely doesn't keep too big a supply on hand. The Ultrasone USA office is probably just a one man operation with an office in a broom closet in Tennessee! But with the current upsurge in interest, that's likely to change.

The waiting's getting old.

Had I known when I initially placed my order that it was going to take this long, I would have either A) not purchased the 2500's and got the HD 650 like I was originally planning on, or B) looked elsewhere and paid the extra 60 bucks or so.

Unfortunately, when I spoke with the salesman, he kind of led me to believe they would receive shipment within a week or so. I think it's now three-plus weeks.

So my guess is it'll end up being about five or six weeks from order date (when they took my money) to actually receiving the cans. And that's only IF they received enough cans for their backorder.

I can't remember the last time I purchased anything and waited this long. It definitely is a bummer.
