Hi,
Just offer me any stax amp you have... with three conditions, the first being that you'll ship to australia (or better yet you live in australia). Secondly the amp must be capable of amping low bias headphones and thirdly... the price must be within my budget ($200-300) inclusive of shipping, the cheapest available will do. (but please please please don't skimp on the packaging.)
I'm also looking for people in Australia (preferably living in Canberra) who are capable of doing some basic repairs... a transformer in my DAC's PSU has come loose and needs a few wires resoldered, and my X-Can V3 is developing some intermittent (and loud) hiss in the right channel... probably something that came loose during its transit from malaysia.
Thanks
PS: If you have something on the lines of a KGSS (with a normal bias output heh) that needs to be taken off your hands... do ignore my upper limit. In fact as long as you have something that could be considered a real upgrade over the SRD-X Pro (SRM-313s don't count), just ignore the upper limit, unless you'll repair the SRD-X pro for a fee that isn't higher than the cost of buying another unit. (currently has one broken RCA socket, and noise in both channels. Yep, always carry amplifiers in hand luggage whenever possible.)
