Speaker for iPod/Computer

I need a good pair of speakers for music. Will be connecting it to my iPod and laptop.

What is your recommendation?
My budget is AUD $200+-

Currently the best speaker i can think of is the JBL Creature 2.
Doesn't have to be computer speakers, could be audiophile speakers too.

2.1 speakers are the best for music rite?
So yea.. would love to have a woofer too.

I have narrowed down my choice. It's either Klipsch 2.1 GMX or Logitech Z2300.
Which should i go for?

I listen to my iPod using my Ety er6i. Love the sound of it.

Or should i build my own system? Don't really know much about amps and bookshelf speakers.

But i do want the solid low bass thump woofer since i listen to techno and trance.

2.1 speakers aren't necessarily "best" for music, it's a matter of opinion. If you're talking about fatigue, you can use a crossfeed to help stereolize the sound.

I see alot of good reviews on the Klipsch... but I think it's best for you to go to the store and listen for yourself.

I recommend the Aego M 3 piece system. If you're going 2.0 try the Swans M200.

Its hard to get the kinda gear people talk about here in Australia for that kind of money. You can get the T-amp for under $100 AUD but that doesn't leave much to get some speakers that can utilize it.

You could look at second hand gear on eBay. Or just go with those Klipsch speakers or maybe the HK Soundsticks and not worry about an amp.
