good rca to mini cable?

I'm looking for a good rca to mini cable to run from my cd player to my amp. My cd player is a Cambridge Audio D500SE and my amp is a Hornet "M". I'm interested in Kimber kable but haven't had any experience with other brands. If someone could lead me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

A nice, but cheap one would be http://signalcable.com/silvermini.html ($69 for 2', $10 per additional 1') or cheaper still http://signalcable.com/analogmini.html ($36 for 2', $3 per additional 1')

Moon Audio also make nice interconnects, but at a higher price-range:
Silver Dragon Portable V2: $175 for 2', $20 per additional 0.5'
Silver Dragon Portable Mini V2: $100 for 2', $10 per additional 0.5'
Blue Dragon Portable V2: $120 for 2', $10 per additional 0.5'
Blue Dragon Portable Mini V2: $65 for 2', $10 per additional 0.5'
Black Dragon Portable: $105 for 2', $10 per additional 0.5'

More expensive still are Qables' offerings:
http://www.qables.com/index.php?main...x&cPath=104_91
They start at $150 for a 1' mini-to-RCA and $256 for a 2' terminated with WBT next gen 0110 Ag connectors at the top end of the scale. $13 per additional 0.5'

Milkpowder,
Thanks so much for the detailed response. Any thoughts on how a kimber rca to mini would sound in comparison to any that you listed?

Many good DIY'ers around here as well! [AK]Zip, skyline889, etc. Heard good things about cantsleep too.

I can vouch for cantsleep. He does great work at very reasonable prices.

this is the best mini-rca cable I've ever heard

6 conductor solid silver that I made.
