Much deserved bump. Can the UE10 cable be detachable? I was thinking about keeping my E500s the way they and simply switching the cable.

Yes, the cable is detachable on mine, just as they are on the UE10s. But I'm not sure that modding only the 500's cable is possible. Highly doubt it actually.

He probably does if you can track him down. I had my SE530 converted to customs by someone else, who wont do any more, and it is only slightly more spacious sounding than a $250 pair of Livewires, with slightly less bass, so I am not sure you want to spend a lot doing that. The sound is better than stock and enjoyable, but you could buy LiveWires and get a similar sound for less money while having two pair of IEM instead of one. If you order LW with the Nashville office, you can even try the new 3-driver model.

Does anyone know if there are any possibilities to re-cable the E500s? I have been searching on threads and have not found anything concrete. I have a pair of E500s sitting in my drawer pretty much useless. If anyone knows a contact please advise I would really appreciate it.
