Many people use Grado SR60 with the PA2v2 with good results, so I've read.

Just curious, you ever tried any other headphone amp?

That's my current setup (SR60 and PA2v2). It's what I call the intro to headphones and amp starter kit. I find it a really nice combination but I have nothing to compare it to.

I should be able to test some HD580 with the PA2v2 as well as some very old Senns that I don't know the model of and some Senn gaming headset that I don't know the model of right now. Whether or not all of that makes it on the road with me so I can fully test them all is another question.

X4 - The only thing I have to add is that, with my recently acquired Beyerdynamic DT990s (a higher impedance 'phone), I have noticed the limitations of this amp. It's not very quiet, and I sometimes notice some hiss in quieter passages. Additionally, I often adjust the volume way past where I would put it with the Grados.

Loved mine with iGrado.

X4 Grado, although I own SR80's, when I had my PA2V2 it sounded best with my Grado's

none of my cans really sound good out of that amp. IMHO its a very dark, closed-in sounding circuit, so if youre after detail resolution in the upper mids and treble, look elsewhere. it has some fun bass bloat though.

The PA2V2 had HORRIBLE synergy with my KSC75 with the line-out of my iPod.

I use the PA2V2 nowadays with my computer only; makes my other KSC75 pair sound good.
